Optimus Thinking

Ok so I enjoyed doing the Optimus Prime picture and it triggered a memory about the UK marvel comics version of Transformers I once saw an Advert in a spiderman comic when i was about 11 which had Optimus prime thinking and something like "Transformers the thinking robots magazine" well it turns out that the image was actually a cover for one of the issues...

There was so much that bugged me about it but i loved the Pose.... so I decided to re-draw it from scratch..

the things that bothered me were:

1. the head it didn't look too much like Prime, it looked to human and the eyes were shut which really bugged me
2. the arm had a stange double exhaust thing going on
3. the colours seemed totally wrong
4. the wheels on the legs looked too small and in the wrong place...so in trandition of the cartoon i didnt include the wheels on my version
5. the back pack on the orignal was metallic silver...when it should be red

So I remade the image completely to how i thought it should look, and I am really happy with it.

I love the nostaligia happiness i am getting from drawing stuff I loved as a kid.
